When I moved to Finland, I immediately noticed a significant gap: while information is out there, the authentic "human touch" is often missing. For immigrants and international students, job hunting isn't just about sending a CV—it’s about deciphering Finland’s social codes and understanding the unwritten rules of the working world.

For immigrants and international students, job hunting isn't just about sending a CV—it’s about deciphering Finland’s social codes and understanding the unwritten rules of the working world.
This is why I developed the Tallent Factory project—to help fill this void. I have built this platform on my own, and today, I am thrilled to introduce its most vital feature: the Mentorship category.
Why is Mentorship So Crucial? The Finnish labor market is built on trust. A mentor doesn't just provide technical knowledge; they help with:
Unlocking the Hidden Job Market: A huge portion of jobs in Finland are filled through networking rather than public postings.
Cultural Integration: A mentor guides you on how to navigate interviews and explains what "Sisu" truly means in a professional context.
A Safe Space for Growth: You get a supportive environment where you can ask questions and learn without the fear of making mistakes.
How Does Mentorship Work on Tallent Factory? I designed this feature with the safety and privacy of both the mentor and the mentee at its core. The system is fully automated:
Easy Start: After logging in, users can indicate "I’m looking for a mentor" or "I want to become a mentor" with a single click.
Formal Commitment: When two users match, the system automatically presents the Finnish Mentorship Agreement. Communication cannot begin until both parties have accepted these ethical guidelines.
Privacy First: Users see each other only by their usernames. Email addresses, phone numbers, and other personal data remain hidden.
Secure Chat Room: All conversations take place within the platform's internal chat. This ensures a secure digital environment for sharing experiences.
My greatest motivation in developing Tallent Factory has been to create an ecosystem where talents living in Finland can help one another. I am running this project solo for now, but I believe that as the community grows, its impact will multiply.
